I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T61, and I want to get a new internal hard drive for it. Do I need to get one produced by Lenovo? Because an 80G internal hard drive from them costs over $100. Meanwhile I can find Western Digital HDs with a lot more space for less than $60.

What are the most important specs to focus on when looking for a hard drive? Like, I know to watch out for SATA, and the amount of storage space (obvs), but what else should I look at?

Every Christmas my brother and I get calendars. Twice my mom has gotten me ugly ass calendars that I haaate, but she's been really excited about. I told her the first time and she got really upset, so I can't tell her this year because she was SO EXCITED that it breaks my heart that I don't like it.

I've been specific about what I like (and have given many viable options), and she still lets her own love of weird shit take over. Am I doomed to get bad calendars forever? Is there anything I can do/say to ensure that this doesn't happen again?

What kind of spray would you recommend to get rid of an awful mildew smell in the bathroom? The whole bathroom is tile... can I spray stuff on the floor/wall too instead of just in the bathtub? I think that's where all the stink is coming from, since water gets out of the shower and into the corner... ugh.

And for any aquarium people: I got an air pump since my in-tank filter doesn't aerate the tank. How long should I leave it on each day to keep enough oxygen in the water to keep the nitrifying bacteria alive? I have a betta so I don't need to worry about him being able to get oxygen out of the water, being an anabantoid and all.

Anyways, if you are at all like me...I always get some makeup etc. in my stocking, since I'm 23 and all. Anyway I thought it would be a fun idea to post one beauty related thing you got for Xmas...or ya know maybe for your birthday this year and tell everyone how awesome it is.

I got a whole buttload of makeup that I have yet to open up yet so maybe I'll rave about that later BUT..
My Mom got me the "Smile" perfume/lotion/etc. collection from Avon. I have always wanted to order some scents from Avon buuuut I hate ordering things before smelling them! I have this misconception that Avon makes a lot of what I call "Grammy perfume" so that also makes me steer clear.
But for the record "Smile" smells amazing. It is a nice soft floral scent, with some citrus-ish undertones and it says it also has some Freesia in there. I think it smells heavenly and I love it, especially for the price.

For reference, if it makes a difference, these are some of my fav. scents

-VS Love Spell, Sweet Daydream, and Pure Seduction are my favs of the Secret Garden collection
-I have a thing for the original J Lo Glow, my favorite "fancy" perfume if you will
-Estee Lauders Pleasures or w/e is also a fav. of mine

So thats what kind of smells I dig, if that helps anything. I wish you could send smells through the interwebs...I'm sure we will be able to soon enough.

About how many books did you read in 2009?

I had a goal of reading at least one book a month, so I was keeping track. I read 16, but I hope to do better in 2010.

To sum it all up, I’m looking for suggestions on different carbohydrates she can eat that do not include wheat, peanuts, soy, rice, or corn, and some kind of bread recipe would be absolutely fantastic as well. She can have yeast and potatoes, which helps a lot. Additionally, any good granola recipes or pasta recommendations would be much appreciated.
